Dr. Pam Moran (Twitter: @pammoran), recently retired superintendent of thirteen years, was the 2010 president of the Virginia Association of School Superintendents and the 2016 Virginia Superintendent of the Year, one of four finalists for the national superintendent of the year. Pam has taught at the middle school, high school, and university level, and has served as an assistant principal (in middle school), an elementary principal, a science content leader, an professional learning leader, an assistant superintendent, as well as superintendent. She is a coauthor with Ira Socol and Chad Ratliff of Timeless Learning: How Imagination, Observation, and Zero-Based Thinking Change Schools. She is nationally recognized as a progressive educational leader who supports school communities to focus on innovative and strategic integration of contemporary learning spaces, responsive school cultures, access to learning technologies and resources, and new norms for using time, curriculum, assessment, and instruction so that learners thrive in the coming decades as they transition into adulthood.
