I have a passion for helping develop scientific/ocean/environmental literacy in students and educators. I love seeking ways to bring in different learning modalities to create learner-centered environments that are creative and fun.
My professional background includes teaching both in the informal realm (Aquarium & Zoo) as well as in the formal classroom (public school systems in Maryland and Illinois). My undergraduate degree is in Marine Biology and my Master's degree is in Secondary Science Education.
