Campus safety and cybersecurity are traditionally different areas of concern in the K-12 environment. Fundamentally, campus safety focuses on people and their physical, mental, and emotional well-being; whereas cybersecurity involves information. Campus safety is the responsibility of campus safety management personnel and resources, whereas cybersecurity is managed by information technology and security teams.

As K-12 schools and students move into a digital world, these traditionally separate areas are converging. Cyberbullying, the increase in violence on campus, hackers targeting school information systems and student data, and the technological overlap between campus safety and cybersecurity are all driving this trend.

During this session, attendees will learn how school districts across the country are taking a layered approach to cyber safety and data security using technologies built for K-12 school districts.

This session will be hosted by ManagedMethods
