There are numerous products and kits on the market that seem perfect for a MakerSpace. Kits that let kids build robots, kits that let kids build electronics, kits that let kids explore in new ways. With so many options to choose from it is sometimes difficult to navigate where to focus your funds to get you the biggest bang for your buck. In this session, we’ll share what we bought in our first attempt at stocking a MakerSpace for our 5K-4th grades, and focus in on our personal pros/cons and tips for using them in an educational setting. After hearing about our personal “was it worth it” review, you’ll have a chance to try out those that interest you, including Code-A-Pillars, Code & Go Robot Mice, Squishy Circuits, Ozobots, Snap Circuits, Vex Kits, Lego WeDo Robotics and more. Come learn and try so that you can focus your funds most effectively.
