A culture of innovation helps teachers and staff embrace the opportunities inherent in change and learn from the successes and failures along the way. Project Culture Shift is a Google for Education program that helps school districts create rituals and routines that foster a culture of innovation among teachers and staff. A Project Culture Shift Leader guides a cross-functional group of about 15 stakeholders through two interactive workshops focused on transforming district culture. This working group typically includes the superintendent and some district leaders, principals, and some teachers. In this session we will talk about the process of Google Project Culture shift including the Explore and Envision workshop as well as the Design and Support phase. You will hear about the process through both the viewpoint of the facilitator and the viewpoint of an administrator participant. Come learn about a program that will infuse innovative thinking into your district and build a culture where ideas are encouraged, design thinking is utilized, and innovative is prevalent.
