What do Project Based Learning, STEAM Education, and Design Thinking have in common? They are all frameworks to make learning collaborative, relevant, and solution-focused. But what happens when a student wants to make a mobile app as a solution to their problem? Eek! Come to this session to make a mobile app using Thunkable, a block-based programming tool. Learn to design a user interface, program each element of the user interface, connect the app to an external online database, and skills to troubleshoot errors in your code. By the end of the session, you will not be an expert, and that’s okay. Go back to your school prepared to collaborate with students on their mobile apps, modeling grit, persistence and problem-solving skills. Be sure to bring both your mobile device, and computer to this session.
