Can you imagine teaching your students with a cup of coffee while lounging in your pajamas, all in the comfort of your own home? Learn about how we successfully rolled out and prepared teachers to facilitate a productive lesson even when students weren’t at school. We will share our professional development plan that included reaching all levels of our teachers: those who were apprehensive, those who didn’t want to “lose” a day and those who were ready to roll. We helped staff feel fully prepared for the day so that their instruction was purposeful, relevant and in stride with their planned lessons. Topics include organization of materials, communicating with students, quality vs. quantity of work, digital tools for learning, feedback, and reflection. Additionally, we’ll touch on some of the logistical details such as attendance, staff expectations, etc.
