As schools implement new technologies they hold a unique challenge in getting their teachers trained, comfortable, and confident enough to use them with their students. As technology coaches and instructors our job to work with these educators to build their capacity to use new technology tools and strategies with their students. As coaches, we face the challenge of communicating these new technologies to teachers across multiple generations. Schools have Millennials working alongside Gen X’ers, who are working alongside Baby Boomers that are preparing to retire. Each of these generational groups have their own unique way of learning and working with technology and it is important that coaches understand and respect how to communicate with each of these generational groups. Join us as we share our experiences and best strategies we’ve developed for empowering all generations to bring technology into their classrooms!
