Lead From in Between: Shifting to a Coaching Culture

As instructional technology coaches we often find ourselves between two worlds - we are tasked with supporting teachers on the front lines while also existing in what feels like no-man’s land between district level and building administration. When educational change happens “to teachers”, coaches can step in as figures of stability and positivity “for teachers”. In the session we will share our experience as K-12 coaches, and strategies we’ve learned to develop positive relationships, and translate school/district initiatives to help achieve our primary objective - increasing student achievement and engagement.
